Executive Team

With global operations and significant experience, the Hansen Technologies leadership team has consistently delivered strong results for our clients and shareholders.


Andrew Hansen
Chief Executive Officer

Andrew Hansen has almost 30 years experience in the IT industry, joining Hansen in 1990.  Prior to Hansen, he held senior management positions with Amfac-Chemdata, a software provider in the health industry. Andrew is responsible for implementing the Group's strategic direction and overseeing the everyday affairs of the Hansen Group.

Cameron Hunter
Chief Operating Officer

Cameron Hunter joined Hansen in 1987 and has played a major role in the growth of the company across the software and IT outsourcing business units, both in Australia and overseas.  Today, Cameron remains responsible for effective operations of Hansen's business units.

Grant Lister
Chief Finance Officer & Company Secretary

Grant Lister is a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years experience in senior financial management. He has considerable international experience having lived and worked in Asia, USA and Europe. As CFO Grant has responsibility for all financial aspects of Hansen's global operations. Grant joined Hansen in 2002.

John May
President, North America

John joined Hansen in 2000, spending 3 years on assignment in the USA. He has over 25 years of leadership experience, most recently as CEO of Baseball Australia where he was instrumental in the creation of the Australian Baseball League and many other partnered initiatives with sporting powerhouse, Major League Baseball. John also has extensive experience managing businesses and projects in a variety of industries and geographic marketplaces. He spent 15 years of his career in the franchising industry with senior responsibilities for Jardine Matheson in Australia, Canada and South East Asia. Upon his return to Australia, John became the CEO for Australia's highest profile football club, Collingwood and was involved during many of the clubs major initiatives. Today, John is based in Hansen's New York office.

Mark Benne
Global Consulting Director

With over 25 years experience in the IT industry Mark Benne has been responsible for the management, delivery and maintenance of enterprise software solutions to customers throughout the world and has been focused on the utility industry for the past 15 years. In his dual role Mark manages the company's global sales operations in the energy and telecommunications industries while also managing the consulting division. Prior to joining Hansen, Mark managed large technical and development teams for a number of international organisations.  

Julia Chand
General Counsel

Julia Chand joined Hansen Technologies in early 2007 and has since played a strategic role as General Counsel. In addition, Julia has played a crucial role in the acquisition team responsible for the purchase of Peace Software, and is a member of the Hansen Technologies Executive Team. Julia has 12 years experience in legal consulting for IT and Financial Service organisations, spanning two countries. Julia has an LLB from the University of Canterbury.

Darren Meade
Client Services and Delivery

Darren Meade has a long history in the delivery of customer care and billing solutions, including more than 10 years with Hansen. With a background programming in multiple languages and undertaking development on many operating systems, Darren currently oversees the technical and architectural direction for Hansen's software solutions.  Prior to joining Hansen, Darren managed large development and project delivery teams for organisations such as Telstra and Worldcom. 

Trevor Presser
Mergers and Acquisitions

Trevor Presser joined Hansen in 2008 as the Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, and played the central role in the acquisition of Peace Software completed in 2008.

Prior to joining Hansen, Trevor was an owner at PPA Consulting Group, Sales Director at Masterpack, and GM - Asia Pacific at Moldflow. Trevor's background in venture capital and acquisitions has spanned multiple countries in the Asia Pacific region.

Jeff Holden
President Sales & Marketing

Jeff Holden joined Hansen in late 2011 and is based out of Hansen’s New York office. He has an accomplished track record in executive management, solution development, and sales and marketing in the utilities, communications, and IT sectors.

Previous to Hansen, Jeff was working as Vice President, Client Relations & Practice Lead Energy/Utilities for Marlabs. He has also held executive positions at both Fortune 500 and emerging technology firms including Telcordia, IBM, and Oracle. Jeff holds an MA from Claremont Graduate University.

John May
President, North America

John joined Hansen in 2000, spending 3 years on assignment in the USA. Param Kumar
Executive VP

Mr. Kumar joined the Hansen team through the NirvanaSoft merger in late 2010. As the founding President and CEO of NirvanaSoft, with 28 years of experience in energy and media industries, Kumar is a welcome addition the executive team at Hansen Technologies. Prior to NirvanaSoft, Kumar was an Executive VP at Time Warner music, video and publishing divisions. Kumar holds a Ph.D., Mathematics, Columbia University and Part III of Mathematical Tripos, Cambridge University, UK.  He lives and works in New York.

Shiva Gowrinathan
Executive VP Client Services

Shiva is the VP of Client Services for Hansen's complex billing business and joined the team through the acquisition of NirvanaSoft in 2010. Shiva has over 13 years of experience in the Utilities industry.  Prior to Hansen and NirvanaSoft, Shiva worked for Hughes Optical Systems and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).  Mr Gowrinathan holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western Connecticut State University. He lives and works in New York.

Scott Weir
COO, European Operations

Scott is Director of European operations for Hansen Technologies, joining the company in 2007. Prior to joining Hansen, Scott was Operations Director at Scantrack Healthcare Systems and held a variety of positions in the project delivery field.

Graham Brookman
Executive Account Director, APAC

Graham joined Hansen in 1993. He is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing support of a number of time-critical development projects. He has responsibility for day-to-day liaison with client project management personnel, risk assessment and mitigation, change control and service level agreement management.

Paula Canning
Executive Account Director, Europe


Paula Canning joined Hansen in 2006 and comes with 10 years international experience in IT for the telecoms and utilities sectors. Paula has a BSc Honours degree in IT and Spanish, and started her career working in IT services consulting for telecommunications companies in Southern Europe. Today Paula is an Executive Account Director and works with Hansen's strategic European clients to ensure overall delivery and operational satisfaction.

 

Eric Fay
VP Sales, North America

Eric joined Hansen in late 2011 as the Vice President of Sales, North America and is based out of Hansen’s New York office. Eric has over 20 years global sales experience in the communications, software and the IT sector. Previous to Hansen, Eric held several senior sales roles with EUROTECH, CoBite and MTS, where he was VP of Global Sales for their CC&B & TEM Division.
