Hansen implements first 'Brand in a Box' billing solution for Cable & Wireless

Hansen Technologies Limited (Hansen) announces the first implementation of the HUB Quo Vantage and TrueView customer care and billing systems as part of Cable & Wireless' Brand in a Box service.

The first customer for Cable & Wireless Brand in a Box, Orange Business Services, has commenced a phased roll out of the solution to its small to medium sized business customers.

Cable & Wireless launched its Brand in a Box service to target major brands across the UK. Its innovative approach enables well-known household names to capitalise on the increasing potential that Carrier Pre-Select and Wholesale Line Rental present. Through this service, a customer is able to act as a voice reseller with considerable ease, removing costs traditionally associated with market entry. Brand in a Box provides the network and customer management attributes, such as billing and customer relationship management systems, required to launch a voice reseller solution.

Cable & Wireless heads up the customer relationship, providing voice services and a single interface for all elements of the solution. It sought to work with a suitable billing partner through a competitive tender process.

After 14 vendors responded to the bid, the contract was awarded to Hansen Technologies. Gareth Kentish, European Director of Hansen Technologies said: "This represents a further major step forward for Hansen in broadening the company's presence in the European telecoms sector. Cable & Wireless and Hansen are now in a strong position to roll out this successful offering to other major brands across the UK.
